Title: Manifest
Rating: G
Words: 131
Disclaimer: Not mine.
The day Scorpius comes running to him filled with enthusiasm, Draco feels as proud as ever when his son tells him that he can finally manifest a patronus. He reluctantly releases the boy--almost young man now?--from his embrace, the youth proudly stands and extracts his wand.
Genuine curiosity alights on Draco's thoughts as he wonders what shape the white wisps are about to take. Truth to tell, he's half-expecting a Scorpion, cliched though that may be. Other guesses would probably include a snake, or maybe a dragon. Instead, there is a resounding slap as the palm of his hand connects with his reddening face. It is an automatic reaction as the proud former Slytherin realizes that of all creatures his son could have manifested...it had to be a ferret.
