I have spent the last 3 hours attempting to change my profile code. Failed horribly. It was supposed to be practice before playing with my actual layout.

Prior failures must mean any attempts to go forward qualify as living dangerously.

ahahah, i know what you mean. i like the simplicity of your profile, though! i was aiming for something similar. i like the minimal profiles best, i think.

i also see that there's been a layout change! ;) love it.

As for layouts, as you know, I like to play with graphic/edit things. The problem is, I suck at even the bare minimum of editing code. So I wanted to include a profile with a banner I made, but my every attempt ends in botching up the code part no matter how carefully I cut-n-paste.

I was able to do it with the layout, because I didn't even try to replace anything. But with the profile codes, there's so much LESS code, I can't help but try. And fail. And try. I may keep this layout for a while or not. I'm of so many minds. I'm having fun playing around with it, but I'm trying to be careful.

I feel like I managed to get everything just right with my livejournal layout. But heck if I could tamper with code now like I could back then. And I also got lucky. But now, even if I could do my own banner and stuff, I'd be torn about what to put on it. Which fandom? Current color scheme? Old? It's all experimental for the moment.

i know what you mean ;A; i am definitely feeling the differences. all this stuff used to be secondhand nature. i also don't think i've realized just how different tumblr really is in a long time--i remember being really shocked a lot of the tumblr features (only one 'read more'? you can't section off the cuts so that they only include certain content? they don't call them cuts?) and going back isn't as easy of a transition as i thought. i still play with some css code when it comes to tumblr layouts, but that's really only once in a blue moon, and i hardly change anything at all. D:

even trying to make a simple < textarea > code for the snowtpnetwork entry took, like, 40 minutes.

i actually only just took a few of my old lj user pics for now. i didn't have any great tahnorra ones, and i definitely need some jelsa and jack frost icons. :o ON THE LOOK-OUT.

Ahah! That explains your skills! I managed to get my tumblr layout "just right" years ago, and have not messed with code for even that since.
